Welcome to KC Select Soccer Club
The KC Select Soccer Club was founded in 2005 as the result of a merger of the Scream Soccer Club, the Renegades Soccer Club, the KC Nationals Soccer Club and various other independent soccer teams. KC Select has more MYSA State Cup Championships (3), Finalists (6) and Semi-Finalists (2) than any other club on the Missouri side of the KC Metro area. KC Select currently has teams ranked on the State, Regional and National level by NationalSoccerRanking.com. and GOTSOCCER.COM.
KC Select's core values center around Family, Education and Soccer Excellence. Our mission is to promote youth soccer development in the KC Metro area with a blended focus on individual skills and age-appropriate tactical training. This is accomplished in a positive environment where players will have fun when playing at a highly competitive level. KC Select's approach to training will allow players to play at the highest levels of youth soccer and prepare them to compete at the high school and college levels.

Congratulations Scream Red U15 Girls
The Scream Red girls continue with their success winning the Midwest Regional League PREMIER division. They competed in the top division against the top 10 teams in Region 2 including, beating last year’s Regional champion.
Winning the Regional League Premier division gives them an automatic qualification for the Region 2 Regional Championship tournament in June of next year in South Dakota. They are the only Missouri team from the KC area ever to be repeat qualifiers to the Regional championship. Coached by Ross Stride the team is currently ranked #1 in Missouri and in the top 10 teams in the US for their age!
With a relatively small roster for this level, this group of dedicated young ladies has proven that team work and commitment pay off. They will represent KC Select in the State Cup Championships in June, followed by the Regional Championships as part of the US Youth National soccer championship series.

2008 Metro United Fall Classic |

The KC Select Fire U13 girls coached by Barry Cummings were crowned champions of the prestigious 2008 Metro United Fall Classic. The Fire went 5-0, scoring 15 goals and conceding only 2 goals on their way to defeating the Novi MI Jaguars (ranked #6 nationally and #2 in Region II) by a 1-0 score in the championship game. The Fire knocked off SLSG United - Stitchling (ranked #3 Nationally and #1 in Region II), as well as Team Chicago Man United (ranked #45 nationally) in pool play.
Congratulations to Coach Cummings and the Fire girls for a wonderful accomplishment and for making Kansas City proud. | |

KC Select Parents, Managers and Coaches,
Winter 1 sessions frequently overlap with the end of the outdoor season placing undue stress on teams to just get the games played. This league will allow teams to finish outdoor and phase into a period of training before taking on winter 2 leagues. This innovative training concept that many larger clubs in europe and the us are employing to, allow more freedom of play, a more relaxed environment for the players that emphasizes fun within the soccer setting. Younger players learn from playing with older players. Older players learn by mentoring and coaching younger players in the game settings.
Our 1 hour sessions will consist of a period of technique and age appropriate tactical training then transitioning to an open play period. Innovative ideas will include: using a different size and weight of ball in games, focusing on technical aspects that all players need to improve, such as heading, shooting, running with the ball, first touch control, etc.
Coaches will include Shaun Owens, Tim Richardson, and Timo Kibune along with other Elite Coaching trainers. | |

Congratulations KC Select Scream RED U14 girls for winning STATE CUP in St. Louis. They played an impressive tournament from the beginning against the very strong St. Louis power houses beating:
MC United 2-0
STLSC-Schmidt- 2-1
JB Marine-Mason- 2-0
Tony Glavin- 3-0 for the final
Scream Red will represent KC Select and the state of Missouri in the Regional Championships next June in Rockford, IL.

KC area players Delaney Kiely (KC Select Scream USA), Kaysie Clark (KC Select Scream USA), Shea Groom (KCFC), Allie Stephenson (KC Select Scream Red) were selected to attend the US Soccer U14 National Identification Camp held in Pomona, CA, July 30 through August 5. According to the US Soccer website, the top 100 players in the country from the 1993 age group were invited to attend this camp.
The selection process began when the girls made the Missouri State Team and were later selected to be a part of the Region II pool. US regional and national coaches selected the girls at the Region II camp held in DeKalb, Illinois. The top 30 players from 14 Midwestern states were chosen. 477 girls competed for a spot in the Region II pool. The U15 KC Select Scream USA is coached by Timo Kibune and the U14 KC Select Scream Red is coached by Justin Evans.
According to Ellie Singer, Region II Administrator for the Olympic Development Program, “being selected to the regional pool is a major accomplishment”. All three girls will now and in the future be observed in the future for possible selection to a United States National Team. Some of these players have gone on to win Olympic Gold medals and played on the Women’s World Cup teams. | |
