Hello everyone! Well, first you’ll notice that the club name has changed. For those of you outside of the St. Louis Soccer scene, here is what happened. St. Louis Soccer Club, Missouri Premier, Scott Gallagher and Metro United have merged to form one soccer club – St. Louis Scott Gallagher. This group has been formed under the leadership of local businessman, Jeff Cooper. Mr. Cooper is trying to land a Major League Soccer franchise in St. Louis (actually Collinsville, Illinois). Keep your fingers crossed, because if he gets it, we all benefit! Mr. Cooper will be building a state of the art soccer complex boasting 12-16 full sized fields right next to the stadium. That means all of our future events would utilize this complex!

GALLAGHER FRIENDLIES
So, now I am the Tournament director for all of our former Metro United events PLUS the up and coming Gallagher Friendlies. The Gallagher Friendlies are in their 3rd year. We started small in 2006 but expanded to 140+ teams in 2007 from California, MO, IL, IN, IA, KS, WI, Ohio South, NE, OK and more. We already expect teams from New Jersey, GA, AL, AR and more for 2008. This event is the #2 Tournament in Missouri and particularly strong in the U14 Boys and Girls ages in 2007. We expect better numbers and quality for 2008. Mark your calendars for Labor Day weekend, 2008 – August 30-31, 2008! Our website will be up-to-date by July 7 at www.gallagherfriendlies.com. METRO UNITED BOYS FALL CLASSIC
Next up is the Metro United Boys Fall Classic. Held every Columbus Day weekend, (October 11-12, 2008) this event is the top Boys Tournament in Region II and ranked #26 nationally at www.gotsoccer.com. The U13 & U14 Boys ages are always a Best of the Best of Region II. Last years event boasted 170 teams fro all over the Midwest. Here a link to this top rated event:

METRO UNITED GIRLS FALL CLASSIC & COLLEGE SHOWCASE
And to end our year off in style, the Midwest’s Top Girls event is the Metro United Girls Fall Classic and College Showcase. This event has exploded the last several years with over 290 teams in the 2007 version while we had to turn away over 175 teams! Teams from all over the country attend what has become a great COLLEGE Showcase in the last four years. The U17 Girls age group was ranked #18 in the Country for that age group Nationally! We again expect record numbers in quality, diversity and number of applications. In our premier brackets (we offer Gold and Silver too), you’ll not have to play a team from your state unless it can’t be avoided. Girls Fall Classic application:

All of these Tournaments are held in the St. Louis area. The Gallagher Friendlies being hosted in St. Charles, Maryland Heights and O’Fallon Missouri and the Boys and Girls Fall Classic’s across the river in nearby (You can see the St. Louis Arch from our main complex) Collinsville, Granite City and Belleville Illinois.
