Nixa Soccer Club U14 (boys) will be hosting tryouts on Thursday July 10 at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday July 17 @ 7:00 p.m.. Bring ball and shin guards.

Location: NSC Soccer fields at Main Street Fire Station.
The Main Street Station is at the corner of Northview and Main Street. The fields are entered at the substation entrance on Northview across from Coyotes Grill.

Southeast Missouri State University head soccer coach Heather Nelson announced that Lindsay Pickering will join the Redhawks women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant during the 2008 season. Pickering, the all-time career shutouts leader at Southeast, will work with goalkeepers and handle additional coaching and administrative responsibilities including travel arrangements, recruiting and academic progress.

Saint Louis junior forward Julia Bradenberg (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline) was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference's women's soccer preseason All-Conference team today. Meanwhile, Billiken newcomer Andrea Barklage (Lake St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word) earned a spot on the league's All-Rookie team.

It's certainly been a banner year for Missouri Athletics and on the heels of strong showings from Tiger Baseball, Softball and Men's Track and Field at the national level this spring, Missouri finished 38th in the final U.S. Sports Academy's Directors' Cup standings (formerly known as the Sears Directors' Cup) released Thursday afternoon by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
